Sponsors

Sponsor the work

I send fixes to JetBrains and to open-source maintainers, and I build and maintain the free plugins in my catalog. Sponsorship pays for that time and keeps my work independent.

Sponsors

The first sponsor spots are open. Your name or logo could be the first one here.

What your sponsorship pays for

  • Fixes sent upstream. I write root-cause reports, patches and pull requests for the IntelliJ Platform and for open-source projects. The record is on the evidence pages.
  • Free tools that keep working. I keep the free plugins and extensions in my catalog compatible as the IDEs change.
  • New tools from documented gaps. Each plugin starts from one gap that reviews or tickets already describe.
  • Checks you can read. The tests and plugin-verifier runs behind each release, and the method I use to decide what to investigate.

Sponsorship levels

Every level is monthly and can be cancelled at any time. Each level includes everything in the one before it.

For people who use the tools

Supporter

USD 5 / month

  • Your name on this page, if you want it.
  • A vote each quarter on which gap I investigate next.

Backer

USD 25 / month

  • Everything in Supporter
  • Early access: builds of new plugins before they reach the Marketplace.
  • Your name links to your profile.

For teams and companies

Silver

USD 100 / month

  • Everything in Backer
  • Your logo and a link on this page.

Gold

USD 300 / month

  • Everything in Silver
  • Your logo on the home page, in the sponsors section.
  • Priority on issues: I give a first response within 2 business days.
  • I thank you by name in my monthly post on LinkedIn and X.
  • A short note each quarter with the visits and clicks your logo received.

Platinum

USD 1,000 / month

Limited to 3 sponsors at a time

  • Everything in Gold
  • Top placement and the largest logo, on this page and on the home page.
  • A 30-minute call with me every quarter to set priorities for your stack.
  • I schedule one compatibility or feature request per quarter ahead of the public queue.

Prices are in US dollars. Need something scoped, with a fixed deliverable and date? That is a service, not a sponsorship.

The work you support

These figures show how much the work is used. They come from public JetBrains Marketplace and GitHub data and are synced twice a day. Sponsor names never appear inside the plugins, so these downloads are not an audience for your logo. The next section shows the audience you do reach.

Where your name appears

Sponsor names and logos appear on this site and in my posts on LinkedIn and X. These figures cover this site and my LinkedIn page, the audience I can measure today. I would rather show you measured numbers than estimates, so each figure carries the dates it covers.

What sponsorship never buys

  • A different conclusion. A sponsor cannot make me change, delay or remove an investigation, a report or a rating. If a sponsor’s own product is the subject, I still publish the report.
  • A place inside the tools. I never put sponsor logos or messages in my plugins or extensions.
  • Your data. I use the contact details you send only to arrange the sponsorship.
  • A services contract. A sponsorship has no fixed scope, deliverable or date. For that, see Services.

How to become a sponsor

  1. Pick a level. If you are unsure, start with Supporter or Backer and change later.
  2. Join. Monthly support goes through Patreon; a one-off contribution through Buy Me a Coffee. If your company needs an invoice or other paperwork, write to me first.
  3. Send your name or logo. For Silver and above, an SVG logo and the link you want. I add you to the page within a week.

Questions

Is a sponsorship tax-deductible?

No. I am not a registered charity, so a sponsorship is a personal or business payment, not a donation. Ask your accountant how to book it.

Can I stop at any time?

Yes. Cancel from the platform you joined on. I take your name or logo off the site at the end of the period you already paid.

Can I sponsor anonymously?

Yes. Tell me, and you are counted but not listed.

Can I sponsor one plugin?

Tell me which one when you write. It guides where your priority requests go. It does not change what the plugin does or how it is reviewed.

How will I know what my sponsorship brought?

Gold and Platinum sponsors get a short note each quarter with the visits to the pages where the logo appears and the clicks on the logo. I count them with GoatCounter, which stores no personal data.

Are the links on this page followed by search engines?

Sponsor links are marked rel="sponsored", as search engines ask for paid placements.
